The MK 40/CCM 40 has the same features as the MK 4 S/CCM 4 S, but in addition emphasizes the frequency response in the 9 kHz region by 4 dB. This effects a further improvement of speech intelligibility, particularly in very reverberant venues such as churches.
The MK 40/CCM 40 is used primarily for sound reinforcement of speech. It is not recommended for music recording.
