Descripción
The matte gray MK 41S Microphone Capsule from Schoeps attenuates reverberant sound and is less prone to feedback due to great directivity. The rolloff of its low-frequency response is offset by proximity effect at close working distances.
This capsule has a low-frequency rolloff built in, to compensate for proximity effect and to reduce pickup of room noise. It is mainly used for speech at close range (e.g. 20cm or less) when clarity and intelligibility of the spoken word is the primary requirement. Even speech pickup at moderate distances can sound thin and bright.
This capsule is often included in fixed installations. As an alternative, especially if the problems which they deal with are only occasionally encountered, a standard supercardioid can be used along with the CUT 1 variable filter or the LC 60 or LC 120 in-line filter (all sold separately).
Note:
It is not recommended for musical instruments, vocal soloists, or voiceover works unless the miking is unusually close.
Supercardioid
For pickup of speech or music at close range (under 50cm)
