Beesneez has now painstakingly recreated a part-for-part remake of the Classic U47, from the Capsule and head unit to the connector and plug. The BU47 brings the unmistakable authority, presence, and depth of the original into the hands of today’s engineers and artists.

The original had some changes along the way. For instance it was released with an M7 Capsule which was then changed to a K47 Capsule. It also had more then one transformer along the way. Neumann also released a separate variant of this microphone along the way; the U48 for those that desired figure 8 and cardioid patterns, as the U47 only had Cardioid and Omni Patterns. Beesneez Have decided to release the BU47 with options.

At the heart of the BU47 is the Beesneez BV08 transformer and a carefully selected EF series tube. With ultimate flexibility the BU47 can be purchased with either the Beesneez K47 capsule, the Beesneez M7 capsule or both. This combination delivers the bold, larger-than-life sound that made the original U47 a studio staple, while ensuring reliability and sonic integrity for modern workflows.

The BU47 captures vocals with commanding intimacy, giving every performance a rich, three-dimensional quality. On acoustic instruments, brass, or room miking, it brings forward warmth, depth, and effortless detail. Built with heirloom craftsmanship, the BU47 is more than a microphone, it’s a statement piece, designed to last for generations.
