The D-MON Upgrade program is intended to meet two purposes:
\n1. Make any legacy D-MON hardware* D-MON sold in the past capable of driving a
\n7.1.4 Dolby Atmos system.
\n2. Bringing any D-MON up to current specifications with the ability to increase the
\nnumber of Optimization channels further, up to 18 channels for larger
\nconfigurations.
\nBesides upgrading some hardware components, a new front cover will be added;
\nIts design is identical with the new D-MON faceplate, rack ears excluded.
\nIn 2020, D-MON chassis changed and rack ears were built-in the chassis.<\/h3>\n

* D-MON Licenses require a certain hardware configuration :
\n\u25cfAny D-MON 12 purchased in 2020\/Any D-MON purchased after December 2021
\n\u25cfAny D-MON provided it has been upgraded to current specification.<\/p>\n
