ME-250DX is the mastering version of the beloved HVC250 Stereo Parametric EQ. They are both tributes to the legendary Sontec MEP-250 equalizer. The ME-250DX offers stepped knobs and accurate recallability for mastering jobs. With over 100 frequency points and a boost\/cut increment of 0.5dB, you can utilise the versatile, spacious, and transparent Sontec fashion with surgical precision.<\/div>\n

    Analog Equalizer in the Game<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

    Based on the classic Sontec EQ design, ME-250DX has a smooth response curve that always remains musical. No matter how far you push it, the track never sounds processed. Thanks to the expensive all-discrete opamps, it preserves the subtleties of sound in full.<\/p>\n

    We strongly recommend to try cleaning\/sweeping. Its advantage over software becomes prominent to all ears beyond 6dB.<\/p>\n

    The Unrivaled Circuitry Build<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

    We have redesigned all the circuitry, and included 12 all-discrete opamps inside. Compared with the traditional IC opamps, the all-discrete opamps offer unrivaled bandwidth and dynamics. The circuitry is composed of precision transistors that are accurate to 1% throughout, with multiple layers.<\/p>\n

    Even without any noticeable colourisation, you can still immerse yourself in the beauty of analog.<\/p>\n

    M\/S Encoder\/Decoder Onboard<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n
    \n

    We acknowledge and agree that M\/S processing is essential for many engineers’ workflows. Therefore, we installed a premium full analog M\/S encoder\/decoder, which is all made with THAT chips, into ME-250DX.<\/p>\n

    In M\/S mode, the channel on the left becomes the mid channel, while the channel on the right becomes the side channel. You can also bypass the entire channel in either M\/S mode or Left\/Right mode.<\/p>\n

    Precisely Matched to <1%<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

    Each unit takes days to stereo-match by hand. We make sure every step and frequency point is accurate to less than 1% for mastering standards.<\/p>\n

    When tested with Audio Precision or other tools, the curves will precisely merge as one.<\/p>\n

    Independent linear power supply<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

    Each channel receives its own 56V high-voltage linear power supply. Such timeless power solution has been proven to be the bedrock of a clear and punchy sound. It helps handle a higher dynamic range, offers more headroom, and reduces noise effectively.<\/p>\n

    Effective and precise<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n
    \n

    Each band has its own toggle switch to bypass, to select a \u00b15dB range (\u00d71), or a \u00b110dB range (\u00d72). At the \u00b15dB position, the increment of gain knob is as fine as 0.5dB. At the \u00b110dB position, the increment is 1dB.<\/p>\n

    Each band per channel marks a unique set of frequency points, collectively forming over 100 frequency points.<\/p>\n

    Both gain knobs and frequency knobs are custom-made with 21 steps.<\/p>\n

    The Q knobs at the top also have 12 steps between 0.6 and 4, with the iconic shelf option on the Low band and the High band.<\/p>\n
