The 017 Series is comprised of FET (field effect transistor) and tube (valve) powered models. Though the FET and Tube models are similar \u2013 the two share identical capsules, form factors, and sonic signatures \u2013 there are subtle differences between them.<\/p>\n

The 017 FET captures transients with a somewhat faster, tighter response; the 017 TUBE\u2019s smoother, rounded top-end is perfect for sources requiring warmth with slightly more coloration.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The engineers at Soyuz have spent decades studying, servicing, and building classic microphones; Soyuz\u2019 machinists are the best in the world.<\/p>\n

This unique pool of knowledge, craft and skill \u2013 combined with the ears of numerous musicians, producers and audio engineers \u2013 has culminated in the creation of the 017 Series\u2019 custom S17 capsule.
\nFeaturing a gold-sputtered, hand-tuned 34mm diaphragm, the S17 is loosely based on the original K67 capsule developed in 1960.<\/p>\n

Far from creating another clone of a classic, however, Soyuz has further developed the design, modifying its assembly and tuning. The result, when paired with Soyuz\u2019s original schematic, is unique \u2013 and uniquely musical.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
