«In the past, LevelOne and LevelView came with two installs on one license. This is no longer the case: all software has only one install per license.
License Manager
A great improvement is that all software activation, installation and updating is now managed with the BeatRig License Manager (a picture is at the bottom of this message). The License Manager also provides an easy automated way to de-authorise so you can move your licenses across computers. For more information about the License Manager, click here:

You can just download the License Manager and use your old serial. Mark that LevelOne and LevelView are now sold as single seat licenses but old customers like you still have two installs on their serial. If you have questions about the move of your account to BeatRig, check this:

New PLR feature in LevelView
We’ve made minor improvements to most software but since your current version is still EBU/ATSC compliant there’s no direct need to update. There is one exception: upon request of famous mastering engineer Bob Katz we decided to add an indication of the ‘Peak to Loudness Ratio’ – PLR – to LevelView and LevelViewS. When peaks do not reach full scale, PLR is a good indication of the microdynamics of the audio. A picture of LevelView is included in Bob Katz’ latest edition of his well known book “Mastering Audio – the art and the science”, on page 259.
We are convinced that the improvements in the buying and licensing process offer a much better experience for you as a customer. We hope this helps you to continue enjoying our software! LevelView is a highly innovative real time loudness meter. Its ‘Rainbow meter‘, based upon the ‘Bendy Meter‘ concept of BBC Research, gives the user continuous insight in recent loudness levels of the program material. The arches of the rainbow all have different integration times: the outer ring shows loudness of the last 3s, every step inward triples the time span. This technique has proven to offer a very convenient monitor view during a mix process.
LevelView is the most innovative real time solution for EBU R128 and ATSC A/85 compliance.
Outside of the rainbow meter, a faster ‘Momentary loudness‘ meter is shown. It is modeled on vintage light spot meters that offer a display with continuous brightness, which is less fatiguing for the eye than the rapidly changing light intensity of a bar graph meter. Next to the Rainbow the ‘Integrated loudness‘ is shown in large digits. It can be used to aim for the target loudness of your program. Below this number, a table with all EBU loudness descriptors can be found. And on the left side of the meter a large histogram with Loudness Range indication completes this versatile plugin.
