En 1987 Steve Firlotte creo Inward Connections , aportando años de experiencia en el mercado en el diseño de su propia línea de productos de audio cuyo objetivo es el profesional más exigente.

El Vac Rac TM fue el producto que estableció las pautas para productos venideros como el que se convirtió en el primer sistema de monitoreo discreto que ocupaba 19” unidades de rack, el DMS. Vac Rac fue el resultado el trabajo de Firlotte, Steve Baker y Jonh may; este último recibió la distinción de la medalla de plata del AES en 2006 por su aportación en el campo del audio y el Amplificador Discreto Clase A SPA690 que se usa en exclusiva en los productos de Inward Connections.

Firlotte y Ian Gardiner son responsables de la creación de la consola de grabación valvular/discreta F & G Dymaxion 24X24X8 Tube/Discreet Mixing Console y de la consola de la serie 500 Tree 500 Console.
